SUMMARY

Under general direction of the Archives Printshop Manager the incumbent provides assistance and performs all routine functions within Records, Archives and Microfilm. The incumbent will provide to aid County employees and the public in research, file retrieval, computer operation and knowledge of all departmental records. The incumbent delivers necessary materials, such as maps and printed materials to the appropriate County department. Cooperates with and does all other work as assigned by the Archives/Print Shop Manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Records retrieval and placement;
  • Assist with administrative duties;
  • Prepare and print orders;
  • Filing and retrieving records;
  • Tracking and updating inventory;
  • Repeatedly lift and move boxes weighing 50 pounds;
  • Assists County offices in retrieving their records housed at the Archives/Records Center;
  • Assists the public in their research, in person and online requests through scans and copies;
  • Strong customer service;
  • Climb ladders and stand for long periods of time.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication;
  • PC's, word processing, copier/printer, spreadsheets, etc.;
  • High School diploma.

The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands or arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
