Applications are invited for part-time adjunct faculty positions in Physics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy. These Adjunct faculty positions are non-tenure-track appointments for fall semester 2024 and possibly for spring semester 2025 as well, with possible extension as needed by the department. The primary role of this position is to teach, and a typical appointment would be one to two classes a semester. Applicants should be able to teach introductory physics courses, show evidence of teaching excellence, and demonstrate a commitment to working with a diverse student population. Assignments to upper-level physics and/or astronomy courses are possible, depending on qualifications. Qualifications

About the Department
The Department of Physics and Astronomy offers B.S. and B.A. degrees in Physics, a BS in Engineering Physics, and a M.S. in Physics. The campus is located in northeastern Minnesota at the tip of Lake Superior, is the home of the Large Lakes Observatory, and is approximately 150 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul and also 150 miles south of the NOvA experiment Ash River Laboratory. The department has 14 full time faculty and research strengths in astrophysics, particle physics, condensed matter physics, and physical oceanography/limnology.
