This role could be hybrid (preferred) or remote based on proximity to an office location.

The Financial Reporting Manager manages and directs the accounting and reporting for the company's GAAP and statutory basis financial statement. This includes compliance reporting with external constituents and coordination with the Financial Planning & Analysis team for internal management reporting of financial results. The role also requires strong technical knowledge to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting.

What you do



  • Oversee the accounting and reporting of the GAAP and statutory financial results for the consolidated Company and related subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for the accounting policies and practices related to GAAP and statutory accounting, including the monitoring of new guidance to be implemented.
  • Direct the timely and accurate filing of regulatory statements, including capital requirement filings.
  • Responsible for the preparation and filing of statutory audited financial statements, including footnote disclosures.
  • Assist with the audits and examinations of independent external auditors, State Insurance Department examiners, and any other audits or examinations required.
  • Responsible for the reporting of GAAP and statutory divisional results and partnering with Financial Planning and Analysis with any analysis requests.
  • Participate in technology projects and initiatives related to financial reporting.
  • Additional duties as required.



What you bring



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 4-7 years of related experience required in the areas of financial reporting and internal controls, including GAAP and statutory requirements
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other finance related certification desired.
  • Strong technology skills including advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience working with Oracle, Workiva, FSI Oasis, or any statutory filing software preferred.
  • Strong technical/analytical skills and experience analyzing and interpreting financial data.
  • Strong work ethic with a drive to succeed; high level of initiative and motivation.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills to meet timelines for accurate filing of regulatory and management reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels in an organization and with other business partners.
