Monday - Friday

7:00a - 3:30p

Call & late shifts required

Requirements:

  • Trade School Graduate - Surgical Technologist OR training from the military or vocational school

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

  • Licensed Surgical Technologist

Job Summary

Implements plan of care for specific patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.

May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.

Virginia Surgical Techs are required to be Licensed with the VBOM.

Qualifications:

TS - Trade School Graduate: Surgical Technologist (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - North Carolina, Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - Other/National, Ventricular Assist Device Certification (VAD-C) - Certification - ICCAC Operating Room
