Summary: The Network Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all network services. Also, actively monitors the Incident Management database to ensure timely responses to users outages and concerns. Provides network design direction, manages capital and G&A budgets. Works directly with network staff and gives direction on work to be performed. Develops and conducts end of the year Performance Reviews

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Hire, train, and develop IT networking professionals.
  2. Document, develop and implementation of network and network security standards to insure adequate facilities for present and future company local, wide area and Internet needs.
  3. Interact with management, staff and users to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions
  4. Establish and maintain a positive, productive relationship with operational leadership and staff.
  5. Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise the day-to-day technical support activities, including troubleshooting, customer service issues, approvals, and installations.
  6. Plan, organize, schedule, budget, and supervise simple and complex projects start to finish.
  7. Measure, monitor, and maintain team's ability to meet or exceed established KPI's and KBO's
  8. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes.
  9. Oversee management of equipment and parts inventory.


Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  1. High school diploma or equivalent. BS in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or any business related discipline and 8 years of related work experience.
  2. 5+ years of experience managing an IT team
  3. Working knowledge of LAN/WAN/Internet, IPS/IDS, wireless, load balancing firewall, VPN, and other technologies.
  4. Working knowledge of Ethernet cabling, T1s, MPLS, DMVPN, layer 2 services and other WAN technologies.
  5. Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced IT environment and capable of motivating teams
  7. Experienced in making data-driven decisions.
  8. Established time management skills with the ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Experience in procurement, budgeting, forecasting, and asset management.
  10. Proven skills in leadership development and team building.
  11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  12. Strong dedication to quality customer service and superior telephone etiquette with the ability to deal effectively with customers, vendors, peers and management.
  13. Candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and a willingness to accept constantly changing priorities.


Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

1. Usually, normal office working conditions.

2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
