Job Description

Duties: Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. The Data Analyst IV is a technical position that requires strong data architecture discipline as related to technical solution design and excellent communication skills. This position is responsible for gathering data requirements, designing enterprise data models, data mappings, data analysis, and data quality that enable the strategic information objectives of the company. Creating new and editing existing logical and physical models, XML, file formats - using ER/Studio, XML Spy or other equivalent enterprise tools. Identifies, analyzes, and profiles data sources. Create Source to target Mapping documents defining transformations and business rules using Erwin mapping manager or other equivalent enterprise tools. Creates standard SQL to query, update, insert, and delete data. Creates Stored Procedures. Facilitating business and technical teams, when necessary, towards solution. The ability to extract and document data requirements to fulfill business need or requirement. Promoting and applying AMC enterprise architecture best practices and standards at a project, program, and department level. Ensure best practice and data governance is followed. This also includes the use of the toolset provided by the enterprise. Promoting the use of industry and internal data standards and internal enterprise data services.

Minimum Job Requirements

Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field. Requires 3 years of experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Using Data Modeling Tools (ER Studio and Erwin) to develop Relational and Dimensional data models; Data Analysis using SQL and Python; Conducting Data Profiling, GAP Analysis, and Impact Analysis; Data Mapping using Erwin Mapping Manager; Working with the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL server, Netezza, Hadoop, Hive, and Impala. Working with Github; Using ETL processes.
