Work Schedule:

100% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday with variable start times. Weekends PRN as needed to support the team. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Supervisor, Cardiovascular Sonography



  • Motivate, lead others and share knowledge to provide advanced training to current Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers and new staff members.
  • Collaborate between programs to cultivate a dynamic and high functioning team that focuses on providing an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience.
  • Assume a daily leadership role and demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in all applicable clinical settings.
  • Suggest changes in procedures, policies, and quality improvement, as well as coordinate training and development of the Imaging Specialists and keep them advised of technological changes.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, care team leaders, staff nurses, other disciplines and patients/families to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care and a positive experience to all patients, families and visitors.
  • Support in the development and coordination of new programs and cutting-edge technology and procedures utilizing ultrasound imaging .
  • The team supports a robust structural heart program . The procedures include transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation and alcohol septal ablation procedures.
  • Lead in a Cardiovascular Imaging Lab that is accredited by the IAC - in both Echo and Vascular Imaging at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and several clinics in the Madison area.

Education:

Minimum - Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health services field.

Preferred - Master's degree in business administration, healthcare management or related care management field.

Work Experience:

Minimum - A minimum of three (3) years' experience in performing complex Cardiac and Vascular ultrasound imaging. One (1) year of progressively increased responsibility in a leadership role in an advanced healthcare setting.

Preferred - Five (5) years' experience to include leadership, training of staff and students and progressively responsible experience as a lead sonographer or supervision of staff.

Certifications:

Minimum -

* Registered in Echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) and Vascular Ultrasound (RVT or RVS)

* Basic Life Support/CPR

Preferred -

* Registered in Advanced Cardiac Sonography (ACS)

* Registered in Adult Echocardiography (AE), Pediatric Echocardiography (PE)

* Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS).
