Research Laboratory Technician II

Requires knowledge of the processes/procedures in testing, documenting experiments, maintaining laboratory notebook, analyzing data, and reporting using complex statistical computer software.

This position will support two Primary Investigators within the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Ideal candidate will have cell and molecular biology experience.

Animal handling duties will be included.

Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in related field of Science required;
  • 2-4 year's research lab experience



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:




  • Understanding of research methods, laboratory techniques, and care of laboratory equipment;
  • Ability to interpret data, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently;
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
