Weekend/early morning/evening work may be required during the school year along with possible holidays depending on sport schedule.

Job Summary
The Sport Performance Coach reports to the Sports Medicine Supervisor for the UW-Green Bay Athletics Program. This position will be responsible for full-time sport performance coach duties at UW-Green Bay while working as part of the Prevea Health Sports Medicine team. The Sport Performance team includes one additional sport performance coach and works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced, innovation is encouraged, and conflict resolution behaviors are valued.
What you will do
* Oversee the administration of the Sport Performance program for sports teams assigned by the Sport Medicine Supervisor. Responsibilities also include assisting facility management and equipment function.
* Designs, implements, and conducts sport specific Sport Performance programs that facilitate maximum benefit for all student-athletes and conforms to the needs of the teams' respective coaching staffs.
* Supervises and instructs student-athlete and coaches in all facets of strength training, conditioning, flexibility, and injury risk reduction. Collaborates with Nutrition and Performance Psychology resources to provide guidance in the respective areas.
* Collaborates with coaches and Sports Medicine staff on the overall conditioning, rehabilitation, and welfare of Student Athletes
* Assist the Sports Medicine Supervisor, Team Physicians and Sports Medicine staff to design and implement injury risk reduction and rehabilitation programs.
* Develops and maintains student-athlete records and reports the team's training progress and program adherence to their respective coaching staff.
* Attend special events and participate in athletic promotional events within the UWGB Athletic Department
* Coordinates with the Kress Events Center staff on issues pertaining to facility management and operation.
* Oversee general activities in weight room and assist other staff members as needed when pertaining to Student Athletes only.
Education Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field Required
* Master's Degree in Exercise Science or related field Preferred
Experience Qualifications
* 3-5 years years of experience working in a collegiate setting Preferred
Skills and Abilities
* Knowledge of the rules and safety requirements of strength and conditioning training. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques and safety measures for SAs to compete at the collegiate level.
* Ability to work independently
* History of proven success in Strength & Conditioning at one of the aforementioned settings.
* Ability to work with a diverse population and provide a supportive and motivating environment for student athletes.
* Ability to interact effectively with Student Athletes, Coaches, Athletic Trainers, and the public.
* Ability to work under stress in emergency situations.
* Ability to flex schedule based on coverage needed to support athletic program.
Licenses and Certifications
* Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), or Strength & Conditioning Coaches Certification by the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) Upon Hire Required
* CPR/BLS Certification: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from and approved program or Prevea sponsored program. within 90 Days Required
* Certification in a specialty area, e.g. skin fold testing, Performance Exercise Specialist, or Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM-PES or NASM-CES), etc. Upon Hire Preferred
