Purpose of Job:

To provide consistent climate control to all facilities by maintenance and repair of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning equipment. Provides maintenance support to refrigeration equipment, freezers, and sterilizers.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

• Maintain large and small tonnage equipment for heating and air conditioning to achieve proper comfort levels for hospital occupants and satellite building occupants.

• Maintains and repairs freezers, refrigerators, and other cold equipment for any specified application.

• Perform preventive maintenance on specified equipment and document using software programs.

• Repair and maintain steam and Ethylene Oxide sterilizers.

• Monitor equipment status daily and keep records using software programs (Johnson Controls & others).

• Maintain and repair pneumatic controls.

• Re-claim refrigerant according to regulatory standards.

• Documentation of all work will be maintained.

• Participates in On-Call Program for trade area.

• Serves as a role model for consistent demonstration of Sparrow Health System's Customer ServiceBehavioral Standards of Performance, by respecting the Privacy and Confidentiality of those we serve.
