Job Summary Under the direction of the Lead Safety Coordinator, as part of the Food Chain Safety Team, assist in maintenance of comprehensive safety programs for chemical laboratories, oces, on-campus animal facilities, and on-campus human clinical research facilities. Facilitate compliance with all applicable federal, state and county legal requirements and University policies. Act as liaison between Safety Services/Environmental Health & Safety, and Department of Nutrition personnel (i.e., faculty, staff, students, post-docs, visitors). Under supervision of the Teaching Coordinator, assist with daily management, set-up, clean-up, and maintenance of teaching laboratories in support of Department of Animal Science curriculum. Provide animal care, supplies for laboratory use, and assure availability of required materials, reagents, and supplies. Assist in various general business operations related to teaching, including procuring supplies and maintaining inventories manage the common space and equipment for Meyer Hall Common Space.
