Summary

The Sr. Associate Director Foundation builds and advances annual/major gift relationships through prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship; effectively represents the Hospital to a constituency of community, foundations, corporations, friends, and/or grateful families. Manage complex prospects and donors.

Hours: Day shift, full time, weekend work required

Hours: Hybrid work schedule

Role Accountabilities




  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic fundraising and development annual work plans to include: prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. May be involved in reviewing work plans of others and the impact to department/unit/area
  • Establishes and manages a mixed portfolio of major and/or annual gifts
  • Executes a minimum of 20 gift solicitations a year, including $500,000+proposals. Writes, edits and may review proposals of other team members and/or direct reports
  • Establishes and effectively manages relationships with prospects and donors moving them through the gift life cycle of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Collaborates across departments/divisions to ensure a seamless donor experience
  • Responsible for meeting work plan metrics each year
  • Manages specific priority projects and events and campaigns raising $250,000+ and oversees development of programs as needed
  • Accomplishes human resources management objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees. Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews job contributions. Enforces policies and procedures. Ensures department is adequately staffed. Plans and reviews compensation actions and manages payroll records and costs.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of five (5) years in event planning, fundraising, communications or related experience, with 2 years minimum project management experience
  • Must have knowledge and experience in using Microsoft products
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, confidentiality and public speaking skills
  • Must have own transportation (to travel to events)
