Purpose: The Engineer Intern plays a vital role within both the manufacturing and engineering teams, contributing to various aspects of project management, safety promotion, quality assurance, and efficiency enhancement to learn the essential functions of the engineering department. Essential Functions: Support Plant-wide Lean and 5S initiatives, collaborating with the engineering team to initiate and execute projects effectively. Implementation of Process Improvement and Measurement Methods. Conduct Time and Motion studies. Ensure timely Project Completion. Conduct Data Collection and Analysis. Assist with Drawing tasks. Qualifications / Requirements: Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from a four-year college or university or must be pursuing bachelor's degree in industrial engineering (or similar field of study) Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills Strong collaboration skills Commitment to working safely Ability to manage projects and perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight and direction Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to lift 50 lbs.
