Summary

The Philosophy program at Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL seeks an adjunct professor to teach introductory Philosophy courses (PHIL 140/150). All faculty in the department also support our university wide general education course in philosophy.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • M.A. in Philosophy, Ph.D. in Philosophy preferred
  • Evidence of effective teaching
  • Must also be able to teach online courses if needed
  • Support for the Saint Xavier University Mission (https://www.sxu.edu/about/mission.asp)
Applicants should provide (1) cover letter, which specifies undergraduate Philosophy courses taught, (2) curriculum vitae, (3) teaching philosophy (4) unofficial transcripts, and (5) contact information for three references. Further materials, such as official transcripts sent from the degree-granting institution, may be requested at a later date.
