About the Department
The Department of Cultural and Behavioral Sciences is home to multiple academic and applied disciplines including psychology, sociology, anthropology, geography, education, social work, criminal justice, and homeland security. Our courses and academic pathways cultivate critical and creative thinking, scientific inquiry, and communication skills. Students use social science insights to better understand our diverse and changing world, enhancing their personal growth, professional success, and community engagement.
Position Description
Limited-term instructor positions are non-tenure track, term-to-term appointments.
Depending on need, they are renewable by the department for up to three additional semesters.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Providing 18 semester hours of instruction per semester.
Maintaining at least 8 office hours per week.
Working effectively, collaboratively, and professionally with faculty, staff, and students.
Connecting students with institutional resources to promote student success and progression.
Required Experience
Teaching experience required.
Required Education
A minimum of a Master's degree in Psychology (completed by the date of appointment) or a minimum of a Master's degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment) is required.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Experience teaching a variety of undergraduate level Psychology courses;
Prior online teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to teach Psychology courses on the collegiate level.
* Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods.
* Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning.
* Effective oral and written communcation skills .
* Demonstrate knowledge of instructional technology.

Work Hours
Position may require non-standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend and/or other campus locations.
Salary 10 month salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
