Established in 2001, Acelero, Inc. is made up of two divisions - Acelero Learning and Shine Early Learning. Acelero Learning provides direct Head Start services to more than 5,000 children and families in four states (delegates) - New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Shine Early Learning (Shine), established in 2009, was created to scale the dissemination and utilization of Acelero Learning's proven tools and approaches through partnerships to other Head Start programs nationally. In the past three years, Shine has further diversified its offerings through training, technical assistance, and consultation to publicly funded early childhood systems, including the launch of SPARK Learning Labs.

The Purpose of the Role

The Director of Analysis is responsible for ensuring that data is effectively used to drive decision-making throughout the organization. This position serves on the organization's Senior Leadership Team and is accountable for both ensuring that the data being used in the program is both accurate and timely, and that the data is effectively utilized and integrated by the management team to drive program quality. The incumbent will oversee the management and implementation of the Head Start program's data system application for tracking, reporting, and analyzing information about children and families as well as train staff on the use of data, provide technical support and troubleshooting for users, ensure the accuracy of data, and reporting information. Other projects may include research, database design and testing, and project management.

What You'll Work On

  • Provide in-house expertise and technical support to end-users on a child information database, record-keeping systems, and other analytic questions.

  • Prepare quantitative and other reports and data presentations for internal and external audiences.

  • Build creative reports and communication formats to drive work management and data clean-up prior to major Acelero and Head Start reporting deadlines.

  • Train users with varying degrees of knowledge to effectively utilize the agency database systems, and on data-based decision-making.

  • Complete ongoing assessments (formal and informal) of database user skill-levels and determine need for support/training.

  • Coordinate the design of solutions to complex analytic questions.

About You (Requirements/competencies)

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of data management experience.
  • Experience working in the education industry is preferred; Early Childhood Education or previous Head Start experience is a plus.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

  • Salary: $66,026 - $84,183
