Shine Early Learning (Shine), established in 2009, was created to scale the dissemination and utilization of Acelero Learning's proven tools and approaches through partnerships to other Head Start programs nationally. In the past three years, Shine has further diversified its offerings through training, technical assistance, and consultation to publicly funded early childhood systems, including the launch of SPARK Learning Labs.

The Purpose of the Role

The Director of Extended Day Head Start Recruiter at Acelero Learning is dedicated to expanding the Extended Day program and driving Head Start recruitment efforts. This role focuses on enhancing program size, quality, and profitability while ensuring that recruitment strategies are inclusive and reflective of the communities served. The Director collaborates with local staff and community partners to develop effective marketing strategies, improve reporting transparency, and achieve significant program growth and financial performance. Through their leadership, the Director supports Acelero Learning's mission to eliminate educational gaps and honor the aspirations and cultures of the families served.

What You'll Work On

  • Provides general management and oversight to the Extended Day Program, including Full Profit and Loss responsibility.

  • Completes extensive analysis of historical data and current recruitment conditions to develop detailed weekly and monthly projections for extended day.

  • Develops, aggregates and disseminates information on a weekly basis regarding recruitment, enrollment, and labor utilization.

  • Develops and implements an Extended Day marketing strategy, including social media, soft

  • networks, government relations, and community partners, with target of increasing size of extended day program 10% annually on a same-site basis.

  • Provides training and support to local staff on all aspects of reporting, marketing, and management systems.

  • Drives efforts at increasing Extended Day margins to 33% on a delegate basis, which includes refining, implementing, and monitoring of the voucher application and renewal process, and close monitoring and reporting on expense and other labor management.

  • Drives improved collections efforts and monitoring at the site level with increased transparency at the manager level through targeted and consistent reporting.

  • Assumes leadership on Family Services team in collaborating with Executive Directors and Family Services Directors to develop and shape our plans for child recruitment at the Delegate level.

  • Guarantees that our recruitment materials are consistent in quality and messaging.

  • Confirms that our strategies for recruitment reflect the communities we serve.

  • Ensures that we are successfully reaching low-income working and TANF parents who require full-day services.

  • Monitors that at the delegate level, we are consistently executing on our plans and meeting our goals for Extended Day and Head Start enrollment.

  • Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.

About You (Requirements/competencies)

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; MBA preferred.

  • At least 3 years' experience in management/administration.

  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

  • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.

Location/Travel: NV - Las Vegas - West Cheyenne Ave.

Salary: $77,250 - $98,494
