Join our dynamic team as a Research Administration Specialist, and be at the forefront of supporting groundbreaking research endeavors. Reporting to the Division Administrator, Financial Affairs Manager, and other department leaders, you'll oversee and manage the entire spectrum of pre- and post-award administration for a variety of funded research initiatives.

Your role will be pivotal in navigating the intricacies of complex proposals, including those for multi-investigator grants, task budgets, and sub-awards. In this position, you'll oversee the financial planning and budget control for contracts, grants, endowments, gifts, and privately funded projects, ensuring seamless operations for our faculty's research programs. In addition to your financial responsibilities, you'll be a knowledgeable resource on compliance and research administration, providing invaluable support and guidance to Principal Investigators and department administrators. Salary: $5,733.33 - $11,750 monthly

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-5 years of Research Administration experience
  • Analytical skills to assess financial information, define problems, formulate logical solutions, develop alternative solutions, make recommendations, and initiate corrective actions
  • Close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in a fast-paced, fluctuating workload environment
  • Organization skills to create and maintain administrative and financial files effectively as well as independently balance the various tasks to ensure deadlines are met
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel, to perform daily tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective grant funding processes, procedures and techniques
  • Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/administration or experience equivalent
