The Resident Education Content Specialist is responsible for content management for the Resident Orthopaedic Core Knowledge (ROCK) program. This includes tracking and managing subject matter experts’ content updates, managing the learning objects stored in the curriculum, and tracking and managing third-party content usage. Collaborates with multiple stakeholders to ensure that content adheres to standards and that workflows are efficient and effective. Contributes to the ongoing development of the curriculum feature and content roadmap. Leverages asset management skills to support Learning and Practice content team in development of education products for LMS. Works within budgets and schedules and has flexibility to take on cross-functional responsibilities. Content Management: - manages review process, including reoccurring annual content review of assets and learning objects stored, developed, and delivered through ROCK.
- tracks content process, provides ROCK Core Team, and Learning and Practice leadership with regular status updates on content updates.
- executes content updates as directed.
- solicits and documents feedback of appropriate subject matter experts.
- utilizes web-based authoring tool within platform to perform updates.
- point of contact for outside vendors contracted to help with platform content updates.
- tracks third-party content in curriculum:
- documents resource usage.
- documents and tracks costs, terms, and licensing of third-party resources
- renews expiring licenses as appropriate, aligns license expiration dates with course updates.
- requests permission for new content
Content Maintenance: - creates and regularly audits processes for content updates and maintenance:
- annual content revisions
- Content Committee reviews and updates
- Feedback from users received via BugHerd, email, etc.
- establishes processes for regularly assessing third party usage and looks for opportunities to decrease third party content costs.
- maintains data pertaining to content, including metadata, tagging on platform, categorization of content, and version control.
- creates, maintains, and updates content roadmap.
Platform support:
- Supports overall platform by:
- providing user assistance for content when necessary.
- analyzing and providing data pertaining to content usage.
- recommend platform enhancements and assist in the requirements definition for enhancements that impact or relate to the content on the platform.
- assist in the testing of new development/enhancements that impact or relate to the content on the platform.
- supports the Learning and Practice content team in LMS content development as needed

Travel: Qualifications: Required: - Undergraduate degree in the humanities, sciences, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer service and/or support
- Technical knowledge of HTML, XML and web publishing is preferable.
- Applied knowledge of content and asset management
- Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, organizational and time management skills
- Innovative, initiative-taking, and excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working with medical or scientific professionals in the creation of academic publications.
Desired: - Progressively responsible platform management and/or administration and support experience in online learning and/or product development.
