General Summary:

The Corporate Flight Technician is responsible for maintaining airworthiness and operational readiness for aircraft operated or managed by Honda Aircraft Corporate Flight department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to Flight Department Coordination Manager, Corporate Flight Technician is responsible for maintaining airworthiness for assigned aircraft and coordination of all activities required to enable the safe, on time departure of corporate aircraft.

* Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repair of airframe and power plant systems and components per acceptable methods, techniques, and practices.

* Documents work performed in accordance with Regulatory and Corporate Flight Operations policies and procedures.

* Demonstrates proficiency with the methods, techniques, practices, tools, and equipment used during aircraft maintenance.

* Identifies, protects, and preserves piece parts and articles undergoing maintenance in accordance with Regulatory and company policies and procedures.

* Assures parts, products and materials that are installed meet regulatory requirements.

* Performs assigned work in a safe effective manner while practicing good housekeeping in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

* Ensures Aircraft Airworthiness and readiness to support planned missions.

* Responsible for Aircraft Maintenance Compliance tracking and Maintenance Scheduling.

* Adheres to FAA regulations and company policies and procedures.

* Supports Corporate Flight Operation activities as needed including:

o Line service including aircraft preparation, aircraft fueling, and aircraft marshaling.

o AOG support.

* Participants in Honda Aircraft Company's Safety Management System.

Qualifications

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:

1. The following qualifications are required:

* A&P Certification required in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65 from a FAR Part 147 School.

* Experience with 14 CFR Part 43 required.

* Minimum 2 years aviation experience. Corporate flight department experience is preferred.

* High School degree or equivalent required.

2. The following qualifications are desired:

* IA Certification.

* FAA Dispatch license and/or Pilot license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Effectively communicate via air-to-ground radio and ground-to-ground radio, in addition to other forms of communication.

2. Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations including Honda Aircraft customers.

3. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

4. Organized, self-motivated and service oriented. Attention to detail.

5. Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and to work under pressure including time constraints and challenging situations.

6. Working knowledge of maintenance software (CAMP & Schedaero), Windows operating systems and Microsoft office products.

7. Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance requirements and inspection procedures and practices.

8. Ability to read work orders, blueprints, diagrams, manuals and process specifications, follow sequence of planned operations.

9. Ability to work extended hours and travel to off-site locations requiring overnight stays with little notice as required.

Physical Requirements:

* Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.

* Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.

* Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).

* Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.

* Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.

* Effectively communicate in Business English language.

* Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing 50 lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided "reach assistance technology" or "movement assist technology" (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment; people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
