BACKGROUND: The International Rescue Committee(IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. At work in over 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities to restore safety, dignity and hope, the IRC leads the way from harm to home.

JOB OVERVIEW:IRC New York provides different services to assist refugees and other categories of people in their resettlement process, with an objective of self-sufficiency. Economic Empowerment (EE) specifically helps clients find sustainable employment that fits their needs. The EE Content Strategy intern provides clerical support, with an emphasis on information organization and the development of training content.


Minimum Qualifications:

Position reports to: Economic Empowerment Manager

Requirements:
Working towards undergraduate, graduate degree, or pursuing career transition
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, etc.)
Knowledge of editing and videomaking tools
Excellent writing skills
Organized and detail oriented
Ability to make short training videos
Comfort in intercultural work environments
Basic research skills
Working environment
Regular office environment
