Job Description Summary:

The Technician C (Elec/Mech Area) assists skilled workers in the performance of skilled and semi-skilled laboratory work. The technician C works under close supervision and performs cleaning and maintenance of laboratory and equipment requiring skilled or semi-skilled knowledge. With adequate training and close supervision, will perform work of an essentially repetitive nature for the production of deliverable hardware. The work involves manual skills and the operation of simple automated or semi-automated equipment. The technician C will carefully document their own work consistent with work unit policy in hand written form or using common computer-based software, under close supervision.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
* Performs cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment with close supervision.
* Operates simple equipment in the production of hardware using manual skills under close supervision.
* Documents their work consistent with work unit policy with close supervision.
* Performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions at the discretion of the supervisor.
* Other temporary assignments at the discretion of the supervisor.

Skills/Abilities
* Able to communicate written and verbally.
* Able to use Microsoft office applications.
* Able to perform manual labor and operate automated and semi-automated equipment.

Education
High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience
Requires at least six months of applicable experience.
