PURPOSE AND SCOPE: This position will mentor and advise students about higher education, including the financial aid, completing FAFSA application, and Apply Texas application. Mentor will also provide financial aid options and assist students with finding and utilizing appropriate resources. Required to provide high level information. May interact one-on-one with students. May interact with a high volume of customers. Will work with and assist diverse groups. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile.
