Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington D.C.is hiringfor a CT Technologist.

Schedule:

  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
  • 8:30pm - 7:00am

Pay Range: $40 - $50

Requirements


  • Consistently selects and performs appropriate CT protocol based on patient's clinical presentation according to established guidelines.
  • Selects reviews and adjusts appropriate technical factors to produce optimal CT images based on patient's age and physical condition.
  • Routinely positions patients properly on CT table. Removes all preventable artifacts that may interfere with image quality.
  • Consistently completes the full exam- all appropriate paperwork, post-processing and archiving.
  • Consistently verifies accurate and complete patient identifiers, procedure and other pertinent information.
  • Consistently demonstrates appropriate knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy.

  • Demonstrates a good technical knowledge to fully understand and operate the CT scanners and accessory equipment.

  • Maintains and cleans all CT equipment to establishedguidelines.

  • Actively keeps work area clean and orderly.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of High schoolor GED equivalentrequired.
  • Work requires completion of an AMA approved program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent which is required in a two year college or technical school program.
  • ARRT certified with current registration required.
  • BLS CPR certification required.
  • Able to operate CT, position patient and assist patients to and from waiting room, holding room, dressing room and CT rom.
  • Ability to recognize changes in patients condition, read charts, read physicians orders, identify contrast media, and review exam on monitor for completeness and/or immediate action by the radiologist if positive findings are present.
