Job Description:

PMA Companies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President, Commercial Casualty Product Management to lead our product management team and drive the commercial success of our product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, experience in launching new rating, a thorough understanding of market trends, and a proven track record of bringing successful products to market.

This position will be responsible for developing and executing product strategies that align with PMA's business goals including managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch as well as ensuring that PMA's products meet the needs of our customers. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, billing, other ORI subsidiaries, to ensure that PMA's products are competitive and deliver value to our customers. Additionally, this role will be responsible for analyzing market data, identifying opportunities for growth, and making data-driven decisions to optimize our product offerings. Successful candidates will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to think strategically, and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute product strategies that align with business goals.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from accept to launch.
  • Work with IT to ensure the rating admin system has the latest forms and rates.
  • Support move to new admin system.
  • Manage filing and Stat reporting.
  • Coordinate compliance and regulatory activities across PMA and other ORI subsidiaries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product success.
  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Make data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings.
  • Lead and mentor the product management team.
  • Ensure products meet customer needs and deliver value.
  • Monitor and report on product performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor products.
  • Develop and manage product budgets.
  • Work with marketing and underwriting teams to develop go-to-market product strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate product risks.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in product management processes.
  • Lead and support process improvement in product and underwriting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior Property and Casualty Insurance Experience is required. A minimum of 10 years' experience with at least five years of leadership experience in product management.
  • Proven track record of bringing successful products to market.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs.
