POSITION SUMMARY: Processes financial transactions in an accurate manner while providing exceptional service to the Bank's customers. Proactively assists customers in strengthening their financial relationship with the Bank through product and service offerings. Maintains confidentiality of bank records and customer information. Adheres to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represents the Bank to the customer in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
  • Provides personalized, responsive and accurate service when processing transactions.
  • Processes customer transactions including but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, check cashing and loan payments.
  • Identifies sales opportunities by uncovering financial needs of customers and presents appropriate bank products and services to maximize profitable relationships.
  • Ensures compliance with security procedures, preventing fraud and protecting customer assets.
  • Answers customer telephone inquiries and provides information in accordance with bank policies.
  • Balances cash drawer daily reconciling any errors or discrepancies.
  • Demonstrates teamwork by proactively assisting other branch colleagues when needed.
  • Follows the Bank's policies and procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements.
  • Reports to work as scheduled in appropriate professional attire.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Understanding of basic math and accounting functions. Sound computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial services industry related software. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Flexibility in hours and location worked. Regular, reliable attendance is critical.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequently required to stand long periods of time. Frequent use of office equipment requiring manual dexterity. Visually able to make a positive identification of an individual.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school degree or GED. Associate's Degree preferred.

MINIMUM PRIOR EXPERIENCE: 1 - 2 years cash handling and customer service experience.
