Summary of Position: This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach laboratory and lecture classes for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

This posting is used for face to face and/or online instruction, however, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment.
The anticipated start date of this position is May of 2024 at the earliest and August of 2024 at the latest.
Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing
Required Education: Graduate from an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or health related field.
Required Work Experience: 3 years of clinical experience in direct patient care.
Required Licenses and Certifications: -American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB), and Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN).

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Five or more years of clinical experience in direct patient care, previous teaching experience, and a Master's degree.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Teach laboratory and lecture classes for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Any other duties assigned within the position classification area

Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off campus or in an on-line environment.
