The Heating and Air Conditioning department (HVAC) is looking for a high energy individual who is committed to being a positive contributor to the team and to Hallmark.

WHAT WE DO AND HOW WE DO IT:

The HVAC department provides maintenance for building environmental conditioning systems and refrigeration equipment. This team ensures that all HVAC equipment at Hallmark is in operational condition at all times. The HVAC department is very proactive in developing and implementing projects to reduce utility and energy use.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

The HVAC Specialist performs various duties related to the operation and maintenance of equipment use for heating, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air, and chemical treatment systems. The HVAC Specialist operates a PC to control, troubleshoot, monitor equipment, and purchase supplies.

The HVAC Specialist will operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair: fans and motors and air delivery components, refrigeration equipment and chillers, gas-fired boilers and steam system components, pumps and piping, air compressors and vacuum systems and pneumatic controls. The HVAC Specialist will also install, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical starters, motors and control circuits. The

The HVAC Specialist conducts various repairs to motors and pumps, prioritizes and performs emergency repairs of HVAC equipment.

This is a 2nd shift position. The work schedule is 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

There will be up to 3 months of training on the 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. Upon completion of training on 1st shift, the employee will work 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Wednesday, and Saturday and Sunday.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

The following is required to be considered for this role:



  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Experience in the areas of electrical, plumbing, electronics, HVAC controls (DDC and pneumatic) and mechanical equipment (fans, motors, pumps) operation and repair.
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers and their auxiliary systems.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds constantly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to climb and work from a ladder, performing duties above the head.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and kneel on hard surfaces up to the full work day.
  • Valid driver's license with fewer than three moving violations in three years with no record of any driving-related violations or offense involving drugs or alcohol.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Your resume and application will stand out if you have:



  • 2 or more years of experience in diagnostic & repair of commercial heating and cooling equipment OR 1 years' experience PLUS a passing grade / certification from a formal academic training in the Commercial HVAC field.
  • Some formal academic or military training in the Commercial / Industrial HVAC field
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of commercial boilers, chillers and their auxiliary systems.
  • Experience in the use of a Windows based building automation software to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment in various seasonal operating conditions.
  • Current Universal EPA refrigerant certification or the ability to obtain the Universal EPA refrigerant certification within 6 months of starting this role.
  • Experience in the use of refrigerant reclamation and recycling equipment.
  • Experience in the installation, programming and troubleshooting of building automation control Direct Digital Controls (DDC) components.
  • Knowledge of the physical layout of the headquarters facility (internal candidates only).
  • Must have strong integrity, initiative, and teamwork, as this role requires the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to constructively consult.


ADDITIONAL DETAILS:



  • This is a 2nd shift position. The work schedule is 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
  • There will be up to 3 months of training on the 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. Upon completion of training on 1st shift, the employee will work 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Wednesday, and Saturday and Sunday.
  • You must be willing to work overtime (off-shift, weekends, and holidays) as needed.
  • Must be flexible to cover other work schedules and shifts, as needed.
  • You must be willing to work in dirty, greasy, dusty, noisy, and hot or cold environments.
  • Incumbent will be required to operate a company car and equipment.
  • Relocation will not be provided
