Summary:

The Core Service Specialist will ensure that the preregistration process is performed to completion. This process ensures that insurance verification, obtaining referral/authorization, obtaining precertification (when applicable), financial work-up, and documentation of notes are obtained for inpatient and outpatient services. The CSS will assist in maintaining financial records according to departmental protocol. The CSS will provide patients with educational material and physician information when required.

Education:

High school diploma (or GED); technical training; BS/BA degree preferred.

Work Experience:

1 - 2 years realated medical office, hospital, medical call center or similar customer service environment.
