This position will entail supporting the Naval Air Systems Command (NavAir), in particular, the Digital Analytics, Infrastructure and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group and the Naval Leveraging Innovation, Frameworks and Technology (LIFT) and Integrated Modeling Environment (IME) projects. Specifically, this position will provide support to the Navy Lift and IME service desk and user group, documenting the acknowledgement to resolution process system maintenance, outages and upgrades. Additionally, the Senior Computer Systems Analyst may provide support by installation, configuration, and maintenance of an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.

This position will be a pivotal member in providing support to the Analytic Master Plan (AMP) Digital Platform (DP) and the Naval LIFT project manager. This position will support implementing and integrating capabilities within the Atlassian Suite (including, but not limited to Jira, Confluence, and Big Picture Enterprise), thus enabling end users to have ability to 'look left' (review past analysis to develop new insights and refine hypothesis) and 'look right' to understand how project plans are integrated in support of Navy's budget and force design schedules.

Great Hill is seeking a Senior Computer Systems Analyst. This position will be primarily remote, but will require quarterly travel to our Patuxent River, MD and Maui, HI locations, or as needed by customer.

Roles and Responsibilities



  • Managing and maintaining the file servers
  • Operating the firewall for the organization
  • Monitoring the internet connection for security risks
  • Employing the latest security protocols
  • Monitoring the local area network (LAN) for threats or errors
  • Classify various software anomalies.
  • Develop software quality assurance plans.
  • Establish software quality metrics and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with Atlassian software.
  • Skilled in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and coach high-performing software development teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of work
  • Demonstrated experience in issue identification and resolution
  • Moderate to expert-level knowledge of JIRA or other agile tools to measure team productivity and report metrics
  • Must possess and utilize exceptional communication skills to keep teams operating at maximum efficiency while also ensuring that senior leaders and executive management are always informed of progress

Requirements and Qualifications



  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree may be substituted with 3 or more years of experience performing the work related to this posting.
  • Experience with networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Database knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms such as
  • Windows 10/11, iOS, etc.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance. An interim secret is required to start.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.)
