Creighton University Faculty Chair-Paramedicine Program Omaha Campus Creighton University College of Nursing seeks qualified candidates for a 12-month, full-time faculty appointment for its on-site Paramedicine program in Omaha, Nebraska. The Faculty Chair provides leadership for faculty in the Paramedicine department, ensuring sound teaching practices and facilitating professional development, while collaborating closely with the respective Associate Deans on managing performance issues, promoting faculty growth, and addressing concerns to enhance the educational environment. The Chair plans, recruits, and evaluates full-time and contracted faculty and participates in the recruitment of faculty to ensure alignment with program needs. They will work with the College's Undergraduate and Graduate Associate Deans to ensure that faculty, preceptors, and others are academically and experientially qualified, meeting all certification and practice requirements as mandated by regulatory and specialty bodies. This position oversees faculty workloads, teaching assignments, and salaries for contracted faculty. They partner with the Assistant Dean for Faculty Development to orient new faculty members to their roles, provide ongoing development and mentoring in areas associated with curriculum, instruction, and policy implementation. The faculty chair will possess an earned doctoral degree and demonstrate expertise in higher education, with evidence of a leadership role in academia. They will exhibit curriculum and instruction expertise, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills.
