  • The Perioperative Clerk coordinates communication and the functions of the O.R. Control Desk in collaboration with the Clinical Director and/or designee to ensure a smooth-running, efficient surgical schedule.
  • The Perioperative Clerk also reviews designated documentation for completeness.
  • These functions are performed in accordance with the philosophy, policies, and standards of practice within the perioperative services of Suburban Hospital.



Work Location: Bethesda, MD

Full time Evenings

2pm-10:30pm

Minimum Requirement:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates degree preferred




  • Two years of acute care hospital work experience as a medical secretary or unit secretary required
  • One year Operations Control clerk experience preferred
  • Clinical experience and knowledge of scheduling surgical procedures preferred
  • Experience with automated systems required; previous automated scheduling experience preferred


Salary Range: Minimum 20.10 per hour - Maximum 33.16 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
