Position title: Psychiatry Research Salary range:
The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $107,300 - $235,400. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. The appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding or 100% Ladder Rank. A link to the full descriptions of each series is provided for review: As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidates must have a PhD in health sciences or related fields and/or MD or equivalent. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in clinical, translational, and/or basic research, an independent extramurally-funded research program (e.g., NIH R01 or similar), and 5+ years of research in high impact journals with 1+ grants and/or publications in psychiatric research. Candidates must also have 5+ years of a track record of teaching and/or mentorship activities. Candidates with a MD or equivalent with clinical duties must be Board certified or Board eligible in their related field and must also be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
