General Job Description: As a Project Group Intern, you will report to one of our experienced Project Managers. Your work assignments will vary but may include assisting with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and/or the coordination of design and installation with Project Management, Construction, and Service Departments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Field engineering: assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving.
- Surveying existing buildings (for retrofits), identifying opportunities for improvement
- Assisting in completing preliminary designs, proposal data, and costs.
- Collaborating with our Purchasing Department regarding price, delivery, and other specs for purchased items.
- Assisting in coordinating installation procedures among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders.
- Assisting in writing letters, memos, contracts, change orders, and other documents related to the project.
- Assisting with estimation
- Other duties as directed by partnering Project Managers, Sales Management, or Engineering leadership.
Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):
- Coursework towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering / Environment Engineering or Construction Management
- Prior intern experience with HVAC and/or engineering consulting preferred but not required
- Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar drafting software)
- Ability to interact effectively with others in team environments
- High sense of integrity

Hours: (Only for Non-Exempt Employees) Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm OR This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs. Travel: 0 -5% of the time to and from the primary office to regional branch offices. #ACCO #LI-AN1
