MUST:

Experienced Medical Assistant - Medical Receptionist

2 plus years of experience as a Medical Assistant Medical Receptionist

Must have experience work on EMR; knowledge of Epic highly preferred

Must have strong experience verifying insurance and handling prior authorizations

Must have experience handling and conducting high amounts of calls

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Must be a Medical Assistant diploma or Certified/Registered as a Medical Assistant

Must have phlebotomy experience

Spanish and English speaking highly preferred

DUTIES:

Medical Assistant - Medical Receptionist will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Triage patients

Prepare medical Records

Room Patients

Provide clinical help

Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries

Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone

Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays

Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area

Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records

Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information

Perform data entry and processing

Schedule appointments

Maintain medical records
