MRI Technologist Baltimore, Maryland MUST: Experienced MRI Technologist Must have Siemens experience Requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program Prefer one year experience in an imaging modality Requires extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathologic processes with emphasis on neurologic, orthopedic, and cardiac physiology Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as aseptic and sterile technique knowledge Requires knowledge of the physics involved to perform magnetic resonance imaging exams ARRT (R) (MRI) certified or ARMIT with current registration required BLS via AHA required Prefer magnetic resonance training program experience with clinical internship or one year of clinical imaging experience DUTIES: Reports to MRI Manager or Chief Imaging Technologist/Immediate Supervisor. Performs Diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies Provides radiologists with images necessary to obtain diagnostic results so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician Orients physicians, residents, staff and student technologist in objectives and applications of magnetic resonance imaging and safety Assists nursing staff in area e.g. witnesses nursing staff in wasting medication and documents in Pyxis Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
