As the Business Development Manager - Vision, Motion, and Robotics at Crescent Electric, you will spearhead initiatives to drive growth in both top line, gross margin and expand Crescent Electric's market share within these cutting-edge technology areas. In this role, you will use your strategic sales acumen, deep industry knowledge, and passion for leveraging technology to solve complex customer obstacles and enable organizations to reach their desired business outcomes.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and refine market strategies to enhance sales within the Vision, Motion, and Robotics segments.

  • Collaborate with application engineering, marketing, sales excellence and sales teams to align efforts and drive cohesive growth strategies.

  • Build brand preference and establish sustainable relationships with key partners including but not limited to System Integrators (SIs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and end of arm tooling partners.

  • Spearhead and manage initiatives aimed at driving business growth, including sales, lead generation, and marketing efforts.

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify targeted accounts and opportunities for expansion.

  • Negotiate new partnerships and business alliances.

  • Work closely with legal experts to write contracts for new business partners.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the consumer-packaged goods and manufacturing markets and familiarity with automation technologies/systems.

  • Technical knowledge of the robotic automation industry and customer processes.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Technical foundation with a strategic business outlook and legal awareness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of related sales experience in the electrical wholesale industry.

  • Valid driver's license, with the ability to travel up to 70% of the time to attend company, customer, and supplier activities and events.

Physical Demands:

  • Role may involve exposure to manufacturing environments, including moving mechanical parts and mild exposure to hazardous materials.

  • Lifting and Carrying Physical Demands:

    • Frequent lifting and carrying 1-20 lbs.

    • Occasional lifting and carrying 21-50 lbs.

  • Frequent Sitting/Standing/Walking. Occasional Reaching/Twisting/Bending/Kneeling.

  • Use of technology (Phone, computer, printer, keyboard).

  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point). Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships). Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

  • Ability and means to travel up to 70% of the time.
