Our large energy industry client is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to transform its current training program for technicians into a unified, competency-based, enterprise-wide training system. This initiative will involve updating and customizing curricula to align with identified competency requirements across different job positions and business lines. Responsibilities: Analyze existing content and map it to the approved competency framework produced by the learning analyst. Create the design and confer with the developer about images and interactions. Produce a storyboard with suggested images, interaction, and a voice-over script. Work with Quality Assurance and subject matter experts to ensure updated content meets the technical and competency requirements. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. Start Date: Q3 2024 Duration: Through the end of 2025 with the possibility to extend Hours: 40 hours per week (would consider 20 hours per week) Location: Virtual Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field. Proficient in analysis and providing recommendations and best practices for blended learning solutions. Familiarity with adult learning principles and educational technologies. Experience creating training for highly technical content Experience in the oil & gas industry Expertise with Articulate 360; must own license Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word A strong portfolio of relevant work samples. Able to collaborate in a large team and work on two to three lessons at a time. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
