You have led, managed, mentored, and/or supervised multidisciplinary design and engineering teams including delegating and guiding Engineers-In-Training through basic to complex tasks. You are an effective communicator who fosters teamwork and inclusion, and shares knowledge and expertise with more junior staff through mentoring and direct supervision.

You hold a bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering or a closely related discipline and can obtain a Professional Engineer's license within six months. You possess strong skills in design and modeling software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HEC RAS, HEC HMS, ICPR4, CMS, Delft 3D and others.

As part of our management team, you will cultivate best practices in civil engineering; facilitate knowledge sharing and technical training; mentor and manage more junior staff; help manage workflow and make staffing and recruitment recommendations; and develop and oversee implementation of engineering QA/QC protocols.

You will collaborate with other engineers, hydrologists, fluvial geomorphologists, landscape architects, ecologists, biologists, and other specialists in advancing restoration approaches and other project solutions from concept to implementation. You will thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and be able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines, while working on a team or independently.

You will consistently demonstrate your solid writing skills and attentive listening skills and will participate in and/or lead client meetings, effectively presenting complex technical information clearly and concisely.

These efforts will include having the responsibility for preparing scopes of work and budgets.

You will have the opportunity to collect hydrographic, topographic, and related field data to support engineering analysis and design, including in the field. The position requires work that is varied in nature, including indoor office work and physical outdoor work in remote, rural and/or urban settings. Physical outdoor work may include, but may not be limited to, field work and site visits in all types of weather, traversing uneven ground and sometimes steep terrain in forested environments, fields, along stream banks, beaches and in coastal/intertidal and freshwater areas.
