Job Description Summary
Position: The Auburn University Harbert College of Business, Department of Finance seeks applications for the Harbert Eminent Scholar and Professor of Finance. This is a tenured position with the Full Professor rank and would have a start date of August 2022.
Responsibilities: The Eminent Scholar will be expected to take a leading role to further enhance the research profile for the Department. The successful candidate should bring experience, innovation, enthusiasm, and leadership to all research activities in the Department. The instructional responsibilities of this position will focus primarily on graduate level courses. In addition to instructional duties, the successful candidate will be expected to perform service to the department, college, and university.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications: Successful candidates must possess a Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution in Finance, Economics or a closely related field at the time employment begins. Candidates will also need to have an established and ongoing record of producing high-impact research in the area of investments. Prior experience of mentoring and working with Ph.D. students is highly desirable. Excellent written, organizational, and communication skills are required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of appointment and continue working legally for the term of employment.
