Position Summary |
The
UNC Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry is seeking a psychiatrist to provide inpatient clinical services to children and young adults in the Child & Adolescent inpatient and outpatient programs. This is a full-time fixed term (clinical) position The rank will be based on the qualifications of the applicants. We anticipate hiring a child and adolescent psychiatrist to work in the adolescent inpatient setting and an adult or child adolescent psychiatrist on the young adult unit at the new Child & Adolescent Psychiatry facility in Butner, NC. The position will be at least 50% inpatient and opportunity for up to 100% inpatient. The position can include outpatient work including in-person and/or virtual care services. Duties also include teaching/supervising fellows, residents, medical students and other trainees from a variety of disciplines. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Applicants must have an MD or DO, be BC/BE, and be eligible for North Carolina licensure. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
The successful candidate should have strong clinical skills and demonstrated teaching skills necessary to enable them to successfully provide educational and training experiences for medical students, residents, fellows, other health care trainees, and clinicians. Candidates should have clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. |
