Position Summary |
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina (
UNC) School of Medicine at Chapel Hill is seeking a psychologist to join the Outpatient Clinic. The position would primarily involve outpatient work outpatient clinic, offering psychotherapy to adults as well as providing neurocognitive testing as part of memory assessments. Other aspects of service would include teaching psychiatry residents. This position will also include some time providing direct patient care in our expanding virtual care program that may include a variety of patient care settings (including outpatient psychiatry, emergency room psychiatry, and consult-liaison psychiatry), which can be tailored for the clinical interested of the faculty member. Additional duties include the supervision and teaching of psychiatry residents, medical students, and other health care trainees who rotate through the department. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Applicants must have a PhD/PsyD and have a North Carolina licensure to practice.
Applicants must be eligible for North Carolina licensure. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
The successful applicants will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a diverse population of patients. |
