Daikin Applied is seeking an Engineering Technician II who will work in support of HVAC development programs, technician installs, tests, calibrating, and repairing electromechanical and electronic measuring. May also include supporting aspects of recording and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards.

What you will do:



  • Perform production testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements and the ISO 17025 standard when needed due to hourly employee absences.
  • Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance
  • Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions
  • Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times
  • Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
  • Maintain effective communication with production and project teams
  • Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications
  • Perform test unit setup according to test procedures and test request requirements
  • Create records of testing activities and document them according to production test procedures
  • Improve test stand activities on a continuous basis
  • Provide support to production test stand operators as needed

Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3 years related experience
  • 2-year associate degree preferred
