Woodhull Medical Center is a community hospital, one of the 11 acute care facilities of the New York City Health Hospitals. We are affiliated with New York University School of Medicine and located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, bordering Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Greenpoint, serving a diverse patient population. We are seeking OB/GYN hospitalist candidates to join our growing hospital based, full service practice. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering the highest quality care that meets all medical standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will serve as OBGYN Hospitalist and be responsible for the management and delivery of patients in Labor and Delivery; provide surveillance of labor progress and fetal heart rate tracing; manage obstetrics emergencies and urgent gynecological care and consultation to the emergency department and inpatient units, and provide surgical care as required or assist OBGYN practitioners as needed. Must be able to work independently and provide supervision to students, residents, midwives, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. The OB/GYN is a full-service department. In addition to our 16 attending staff, we have a Maternal Fetal Medicine, a fellowship trained Family Planning Specialists, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility staff. The preferred candidate will have a commitment to teaching and academic excellence. We offer state of the art Obstetrics Ultrasound and Antepartum Testing Unit and, a Da Vinci robot available for training. Woodhull has a pioneered midwife-attending collaborative that has demonstrated successful in clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. We offer a competitive compensation and a stimulating work environment. The base salary offered for this role is $250,000 - $275,000 with flexible 12hr to 24 hr shift options per week. Performance improvement compensation has been distributed in past years and Faculty Practice Revenue is expected to commence this year.
