The Opportunity:

The Civil Engineering Department in the College of Engineering, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking Adjunct Faculty for in-person instruction at the Daytona Beach Campus. Successful candidates will be hired on a part-time, per course basis. Courses are typically taught either MWF or TR; flexible hours and scheduling may be available.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a MS degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; preference will be given to candidates who also hold a PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.

Candidates must be capable of teaching one or more of the following courses: Statics, Solid Mechanics and Civil engineering courses. Course descriptions can be found here: https://catalog.erau.edu/daytona-beach/engineering/bachelors/civil-engineering/#programrequirementstext.

Applications must include a CV, a statement of teaching (to include experience, interest, philosophy, and approaches), a list of three references with contact information, and unofficial transcripts from all institutions. Official transcripts will only be required upon accepting the position.
