The Department of Pediatrics at NYUSchool of Medicine is seeking a board certified Pediatric Pulmonologist for a faculty position at the Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone. The successful candidate will join an established group of pediatric pulmonary professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric complex chronic care and will enjoy providing multidisciplinary care to patients with the most challenging and difficult conditions, both in the hospital and outpatient settings. Experience in both invasive and non-invasive home ventilation is preferred. Lung transplantation and pediatric bronchoscopy experience is a plus. There are exciting opportunities to start and direct new chILD and sickle cell disease pulmonary programs, as well as an opportunity to join an existing pulmonary hypertension program and lead it to accreditation. Energetic and determined candidates without such experience will be considered. Responsibilities include teaching of medical students and pediatric residents and participation in hospital-related administrative, research and/or quality improvement initiatives. The individual will provide comprehensive care in a brand new, single-patient room acute care medical surgical unit with trainees as well as full term and late preterm newborns in our level 1 neonatal care unit with over 6000 deliveries/year. The individual willjoin our expandingPediatric Pulmonologygroup which currently consists of 5 full time attending physicians, 5 nurse practitioners, 3 registered nurses, 1 respiratory therapist, and 1 research coordinator. The division has an accredited pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center, which includes a regional Neonatal CF Screening Program. The division also has established nationally recognized Bronchoscopy, Aerodigestive, Chronic Care, and Lung Transplant programs, as well as an accredited Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia program. In addition, there are established outpatient and inpatient Sleep programs, Severe Asthma program, BPD/Pulmonary hypertension program, and a Breathing Clinic for children with psychogenic respiratory disorders. The Division provides training in cystic fibrosis and advanced pediatric bronchoscopy to fellows from the NYU Long Island Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship program. Division members are involved in exciting clinical research projects in severe asthma, cystic fibrosis, primary ciliary dyskinesia and advanced pediatric bronchology. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $185,000 and $210,000 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
