Description

General Description: Arora Engineers, LLC provides design and construction services for MEP, fire protection and alarms, and low voltage/special systems for aviation, transportation, educational, and health care related buildings and facilities.

Overall Responsibility: Provide BIM/CAD support to projects at the direction of the Operations Manager, Project Manager, or Technical Discipline Lead within the project deliverable schedule.

Essential Functions:



  • Assist Engineers/Designers in design layout of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection systems, etc.
  • Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information using BIM/CAD platforms.
  • Assist in the coordination of structural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation to graphically represent building plans.
  • Assists Engineers/Designers on field surveys as required to obtain pertinent information for design.
  • Advise Project Manager of project status with respect to schedule, budgets, delays and adverse problems; and confer with engineering staff to resolve problems.
  • Uses time and resource efficiently and effectively.
  • Creates and maintains effective working relationships with supervisor, colleagues, clients, visitors and public-at large.
  • Duties as assigned by the Boston Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Minimum:



  • Two years of technical school training in CAD or equivalent.
  • Entry to junior level experience (1-3 years).


Needed Skills:



  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of BIM/CAD software systems, including Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions and written notes and translate them into products.
  • Ability to develop competent knowledge of company standards.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Excellent command of the English language - spoken and written.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security status.
  • Holds a legal right to work in US.
