Main Duties & Responsibilities
Basic Scope:
Seeking a skilled Power Generation Engineer with 5+
years of experience and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or
related field. Must excel in both electrical and mechanical systems and
demonstrate keen interest in power generation technologies. Proficiency in gaseous-fired
engines is essential, with diesel engine experience preferred. Responsibilities
include designing, developing, and optimizing engine generator power generation
systems for efficiency, reliability, and industry compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and engineer natural gas engine generator systems, including mechanical and electrical system design and integration for stationary and mobile generator sets.
Conduct feasibility studies and performance analyses to optimize power generation efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power generation systems into larger infrastructure projects.
Develop and implement maintenance and troubleshooting procedures to ensure ongoing reliability of power generation equipment.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in power generation to inform design decisions and improve system performance.
Provide technical support and guidance to field service teams during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
Participate in regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring that power generation systems meet all applicable safety and environmental standards.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation to support project planning, execution, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Experience with gaseous fired engines is required, with familiarity with diesel engines preferred.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Eye Protection consists of goggles, face shield or safety glasses.
Steel Toe Safety Shoe/Boot required.
