Overview

Assists personnel in Respiratory Therapy Department by performing the following duties under direct, immediate, on-premises supervision of a Respiratory Care Practitioner.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • To perform patient assessment, oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, and assist the respiratory therapist with other duties.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be currently enrolled in an approved respiratory care program.

Skills and Abilities
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Processing Software.

Special Physical Demands

The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Function of the position with or without accommodations.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
