Overview:

SCCI is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience fabricating and modifying electrical or electronic components. Occasional travel may be required. This position is in support of future work expected in 2025. This position is located in Dam Neck, VA.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Fabricating and modifying electrical or electronic components as needed for lab projects
  • Providing technical support for engineering and electrical projects within the lab
  • Assisting with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab equipment and systems
  • Managing inventories for lab supplies and equipment, ensuring accurate records and timely procurement
  • Coordinating logistics for lab operations, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support research and development activities
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance of lab equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all lab operations
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation for lab activities, equipment, and inventory


Essential Skills and Qualifications:



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience fabricating and modifying electrical or electronic components
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various types of equipment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal



Preferred Skills and Experience:



  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering, electrical work, and logistics
  • Proven ability to manage and maintain lab operations and equipment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
